EXAMPLE EVENT:
You want to book a standard level bar for a wedding for 125 guests for 5 hours with a full bar with glassware available.
ALCOHOL
If you buy your own alcohol from a liquor store to have enough for the event, you would need 48 bottles of liquor (a mix of vodka, tequila, gin, rum, whiskey, and scotch), 12 cases of beer (a mix of domestic and craft), and 5 cases of wine (red, white, champagne).
TOTAL: This will cost you on average $2,066, and the liquor store will also charge a restocking fee for any liquor you return.
We’ve been in the business for 10 years, so you can trust us to accurately calculate the alcohol needed for your event. Plus, we won’t charge you for any unused alcohol. We provide the highest quality products at the best prices. Explore our packages now!
BAR STAFF
If you use a bartending service to hire bartenders (which you legally must do), you’ll need to hire 3 bartenders to handle your 125 person event at an average of $50/hour before tip. This won’t include bar backs or a bar manager to help keep the lines moving or oversee all efficiency and safety concerns.
TOTAL: The cost to hire a bartender service is an average of $750.
Peak’s bartenders are all W-2 staff members; this means that they are extensively trained in-house on all safety procedures and are all TABC-certified. It’s up to the bartenders to make sure guests are served safely, and ours are trained to do so while expertly crafting cocktails for you and your guests. Our bar manager and bar backs keep things running smoothly so bartenders can keep drinks in your guests’ hands all night long!
GLASSWARE
For BYOB, glassware or plastic cups must be rented or bought, and this can really add up. . For a full bar, you’ll need to rent rocks and wine glasses, and champagne flutes and remember to account for breakage fees. Plan for 3-4 glasses per guest, which is around 550 glasses at an average of $1 – $1.50 each.
TOTAL: $550 for glassware before breakage fees
Peak brings all glassware needed for an event and never charges breakage fees, because we know it’s part of the party (within reasonable limits). Our glassware is beautiful and always included in your up-front price. But if you do prefer plasticware, we provide a discount.
MISCELLANEOUS OTHER ITEMS
Don’t forget that you’ll need all standard mixers and garnishes to create most basic cocktails, enough ice to keep the drinks cold, and to serve with, coolers to hold the alcohol, tables and linens to set up bars, trash cans and recycling bins, and to rent all the equipment bartenders will need.
TOTAL: You can expect everything else to add up to an average of $580.
Please see our table below for an itemized breakdown once you’ve accounted for all the pieces you’ll need to coordinate.
